The Gargoyle

Here’s a little bit of poetic silliness about a gargoyle…why?  Because it’s just been one of those days…

He looked down from his perch

High up on the stone

And from up above he grimaced

At all those who passed below.

When no one else was looking

Through the air he sent

Small stones and other objects

“Reminders” from heaven sent.

His purpose wasn’t godly

Neither was it wholly bad

Though he could never miss a moment

When there was mischief to be had.

Next time when you are walking

Through the churchyard late at night

And hear a noise behind you

It’s only The Gargoyle, so don’t take fright.
