Romance isn’t often my genre of choice when it comes to writing, yet I am honoured to say that I have had a few romantic-themed stories published this year. The latest has found it’s way into another great Zimbell House Publishing anthology, Veil of Secrets.
My story, The Sultan’s Daughter, is a tale of forbidden love. Hadice is the Sultan’s daughter and she has never stepped foot outside of the harem. However, one day she is exploring the furthest reaches of the palace gardens when, on the other side of the courtyard wall she hears a voice…
The voice belongs to Memhi. There is an instant attraction between the two and secretly they continue to meet in that secluded corner of the courtyard.
But can they keep their meetings and their growing fondness for each other a secret? If they can’t, the consequences will be more than either of them can bear.
I am looking forward to reading the stories written by the other contributors, especially after reading the book’s description. It really sounds like an eclectic and exciting collection of stories, and I feel blessed to be part of it.
