      • Exactly. That category of reading should really have a more fancy name, like…higher dedication reading or something (yeah, that’s a really awful name – I wish I could come up with something better but my muse is just not playing ball at the moment!). After all, you’re not just to doing it for fun, as a hobby or to pass the time, but to process everything that goes into making a story a good story. So you not only deserve bonus points but gold stars too. 🙂

      • Given the stressful month I’ve been having, I am happy to accept any bonus points or gold stars that are on offer. 😉 I do agree, though; I think critiquing, and to some extent book-reviewing, have helped my writing even more than just reading.
