Weekend Writing Prompt #6 – Wild

A word and photo prompt to get your creativity flowing this weekend.  Use the prompts separately or together.  It’s up to you.  Write a piece of flash fiction, a poem, a chapter for your novel…anything you like.  Or take the challenge below – there are no prizes (it’s not a competition) but rather a fun writing exercise.  If you want to share what you come up with, please leave a link to it in the comments.

Prose Challenge – In 150 words or less, describe either:

  • a wild setting / location, or
  • a wild personality / character

For a bonus point, try referencing the photo prompt somehow.

Poetry Challenge – Write an eight line poem, in two verses of four lines each, where: the first letter of verse one spells out WILD when read from top to bottom, and the first letter of verse two spells out WILD when read from bottom to top to create a reflection.  Here’s the challenge set out visually:

Can’t wait to read what you have come up with!
