A word and photo prompt to get your creativity flowing this weekend. Use the prompts separately or together. It’s up to you. Write a piece of flash fiction, a poem, a chapter for your novel…anything you like. Or take the challenge below – there are no prizes (it’s not a competition) but rather a fun writing exercise. If you want to share what you come up with, please leave a link to it in the comments.

Photo Prompt
Challenge
Prose Challenge – Write a story in no more than 50 words inspired by clouds. Bonus points for those who manage to get the word “mimic” in there too 🙂
Poetry Challenge – Write a five line poem where the first letter of each line spells out “mimic” when read from top to bottom. The theme of the poem should somehow tie in to the definition of the word.
Can’t wait to read what you have come up with!

Hey Sammi,
Welcome to the weekend 🙂 How was your week? I hope all is well with one and all. Thanks for your replies elsewhere here, i’ll reply shortly. I was just flying past, saw the photograph and thought I’d say ‘hey’. Your Saturday morning challenges are an enjoyable port of call before heading out the door and getting the weekend under way. I’ll leave my 5 lines to add to the collective. Thanks Sammi.
“Mysterium tremendum,” mused Merlin’s melody,
imitating Otto’s latin henge.
“Manifestations mimicking simulated parody,
imaginative impressionistic immaterial.”
“Clouds satisfyingly satirize the surreal.”
I hope you’ll be out and about over the weekend and heading for somewhere with a view to please and take the breath away. Take care, look after you and the moggies, and enjoy the sunshine 🙂
Namaste 🙂
