A Month of Mini Writing Challenges 2017 – Days 1-10: The Links

There have been some amazing responses to the first ten days of mini writing challenges.  Here are the links to the stories that have been posted so far.  If I have missed any off (which is perfectly possible – I’ve only just realised that comments and pingbacks were not enabled on the challenge page!!!  All fixed now though), please, please, please, leave the links in the comments below and I will add them to the list.

Also, don’t worry if you are late to the challenge, I will still add your link to this post once you have written your response as long as you have published it during September.  That means there is still plenty of time to join in!  Just add your link to the comments below.

Day 1: Write a story in 25 words or less set in your favourite place.

Day 2: Write a story in 50 words that is set in the past.

Day 3: Write a poem in less than 10 lines on the theme of winter.

Day 4: The prompt is “email”.  The length and format are your choice.

Day 5: Write a fable (a story with a lesson in it) in 100 words or less.

Day 6: Write a poem inspired by a cave.  Any length

Day 7: Write a story in 25 words on the theme of changing fortunes.

Day 8: Write a story in 75 words or less using the opening line, “It wasn’t me”.

Day 9: Write a haiku inspired by the dawn.

Day 10: Write a story in less than 30 words that includes the words: hope, fear, unsure.

  1. Thanks for all the mentions in line with the one’s mention in this post. Is there a reason why number 2 is missing, this one? BTW, sorry about #20, never read the small print, truth, I thought I was being clever, knowing I had written my own fairytale, (red-faced again), Love the challenges, looking forward to to doing #22.

    • Sorry to have overlooked challenge #2, Mick. I’ve added it now 🙂
I’m so glad you’re enjoying the challenges. They’re really only suggestions, so go wherever they take you. No-one’s going to mind – I enjoyed your fairytale 🙂
      Have a great weekend.
