  5. Greetings Lady Sammi C, Writer of Bewitchery, Namaste 🙂

How are you doing? I was up late…I cannot sleep, I am neither restless nor sleepy: more running on adrenaline instead perhaps. I trust you’ve had a good weekend thus far, and everything in the garden is rosy else preparing for the rush of Autumn? Already the tree outside the flat here, the one housing three families of Crows has its foliage turning golden and falling as Leaves of Lorien with words of Wisdom for those with ears to hear 🙂 I will miss the chattering Crows when winter comes: their company throughout the Summer has brought many moments to smile about. The pigeons and sea-gulls, they will still fly and remain close by, and still entertain my watchful eye. As too the Magpies who guard the hedgerows and pathways, and the Owl with strange ways, who sits up late with me hooting every time I make a typo lol 🙂 I’ve had Disney moments with two squirrels this week. Stories for another time…as too finds on my pathway to work. All good stuff for the treasure chest, all glittering for the mindful cauldron 🙂

I broke from the rush of loving flush to slip 20 lines into your Saturday Challenge 😉

    ~ Secret Doorway ~ By ~ Dewin Nefol ~

I know of a Goddess whose Loveliness expresses her Mystical Majesty
Whose exquisiteness is Heaven blessed, who captivates the heart of me.
Come let me show you a secret door, beyond which grows my fantasy,
A Himalayan Rose whose Heart is my grove, whose Love is cherished reality.
Her Beauty is a beguiling mystery, a witching bewitching my frippery,
Love’s enchanting sensuality, spiced magic, her Voodoo moves internally,
Like lightening she rushes she gushes sparking charging, her spell so charming
Her Fire swarming storming burning I’m yearning, I’m squirming, turning, fusing forging,
    I dying I’m flying I’m failing, I’m falling, I’m up I’m down, I’m no longer on ground,
I’ve left planet Earth far behind, for Love chasing a Dark Golden Hind,
In whose Heart I am now entwined, combined, streamlined, defined by her Love
Not as a Fool but as her Stag, antlered and crowned, unbounded and found,
Her banner unfurled, her flag a tag I raise with pride, her colours always at my side
Her mark forever upon my hide for all to see as I spring leap and bound
Prance and dance over the ground, as a Prince might swagger through Forest Trees,
Courageously adventuring mysteries, and Ruby Red Roses with poems and posies, showers of Love,
And words written on the wings of a dove, for a Lady of Ice, exotic spice, Himalayan Himali.
Come let me show you a secret door, beyond which grows my fantasy,
Rose Venus whose exquisiteness is Heaven blessed: champions the Heart of me.
She is the Goddess I know of, whose Loveliness expresses her Magical Majesty.

Thank you for setting the Challenge 🙂 Take care in all ways always.

    God Bless. Namaste 🙂

    • Hey Dewin,

How are you, sir knight? Has your week been filled with successful quests or raging dragons?

Loved the Lord of the Rings reference. The Disney moments with the squirrels sounds awesome and intriguing. Looking forward to hearing more about that. 🙂

Beautiful poem, with a beautiful first and last line. Thoroughly enchanting and full of emotion. Thanks for joining in with the Weekend Writing Prompt. Have a great weekend 🙂

      • Hey Fair Lady Sammi C, Namaste 🙂

Squirrels you say? Where?? lol 🙂 Thank you for your kind comments Sammi 🙂 Happy to know you enjoyed the poem…a little different maybe, but fun to write: it almost wrote itself that day lol 🙂

They were so cute my Lady. The first intrigued by something on their pathway, so much so that she stayed put even as I pigeon-stepped towards her. I gave her a little room and she nattered away at me…I think it was ‘sueaky squeak squeaky squeaky squeak’ or something like that, which I assumed was a “thank if you please.” I didn’t want her to run into the road and so walked that side of her. When I was passed she did run into the road, I have no idea why, but the kindly driver had seen me and was aware of her. She returned to the path. I smiled, she nattered, I walked on 🙂 The second visit by a squirrel: she was running down the trunk of a tree as I passed her by. She froze on my side of the tree and remained there as I again pigeon-stepped closer. She watched me, silent and curious, not afraid, at least I don’t think, and I so close I could see myself reflected in her beautiful eyes. She was so pretty I would have stayed longer, but she a little shy held her pose for a moment longer then darted for the hedgerow as if moving under the covers lol 🙂

My top find this week. Two of them actually. A Star of Venus, fallen and lifted from the floor. It is an item of jewellery, a five-pointed star, hollow in the centre, and mounted with a glass inlay at its edge that has gold flecks in it. A little damaged by the weather…I’ve never seen it before in twelve months of daily walking…her star is with me now, cleaned and polished. It is made appropriately of copper 🙂 The second find is a heavy twist of 1mm thin copper wire 🙂 I’ve held this in my hand since Thursday. I think it is a story to be unravelled: delivered by the universe in symbolic form. Also, I made comment to a lady in the office at work explaining that I needed a wooden box to home all the treasures I find each day. 5 minutes later I went into a charity shop and browsed the sections. I didn’t find a wooden box but instead a gold plant pot enamelled so that it subtly reflects like a mirror. I went to pay for this item and as I did so two items were on the counter just that moment having been handed in as donations. One of these items was a beautifully crafted wooden box inlaid with a lightwood to compliment its dark rosy glow. At its centre inlaid as motif is a Fleur de Lys rising between two doves. I left the shop with my items and returned to work in the City I was that day and en route decided to stop at the statue of W.H Davies. I had a curious moment in his company, powerfully stirring, it made me shiver, brought small tears. I noticed then his statue is identical to the motif on the box I had bought, the only exception being W.H Davies replaces the Fleur de Lys. And at his feet was small flat metal disc upon which are etched three perfect circles. I don’t know what it is, but it is silver and yet when scratched it is light gold. Of no value in money terms, it’s worth is priceless to me, symbolically.

My special box is now full of treasures. I keep finding small diamonds at the back of the Theatre near where I work. I pick them all up and they too go into my treasure chest 🙂

Everyday is a quest Sammi. Life I find both simultaneously shock and awe 🙂 Every day there are dragons and quests to gallant. I’ve had a long week, and delighted to have the weekend here to sit and write, switch off and take a little time out in Dewin’s Out-House…a new page I have on my Blog. I needed a Garden Type place…every man needs one: somewhere to pace lol 🙂

Lord of the Rings. Indeed. I’m going to watch Return of The King later this evening. It was on the to do list for today. I’ve a poem to write for the Out-House first. Then switch off for a while and once again back into the fray 🙂

So, how are you, how have you been. I see success stories posted Sammi? More inclusions and publications 🙂 I am always impressed and so looking forward to the novel that I keep pecking your head about like a Raven lol 🙂

I had a go at this week’s challenge. Those cakes were such a tease 🙂

Have a wonderful weekend. Take care of you, one and all, the royal we, and the Grimalkins.

        God Bless. Namaste 🙂

      • Hey Sir Dewin the Brave!

How are you? How is your week thus far? Filled with fun, I hope. Your squirrel tales were a delight to read – one talkative and the other timid. It’s lovely how easily discernible their personalities can be if you just them a few minutes of your time 🙂

Your treasure trove continues to grow 🙂 The Star of Venus sounds enchanting: flecked with gold and made of copper – an alchemist’s delight! Perfect synchronicity and serendipity regarding the box with its duality between the light and dark colour wood (makes me think of yin and yang). A beautiful moment in the company of the statue of an inspiring man – thank you for sharing that 🙂 The metal disk sounds very intriguing… And diamonds too!

A new page on your blog? Then I shall head over there forthwith and explore 🙂 I do believe that I’m still behind with reading blog posts, and that’s doesn’t look like changing any time soon, I’m sorry to say 😦

Did you enjoy The Return of the King? What’s your favourite part of the film?

Alas the novel has stalled once more – at least in terms of writing it; it’s never too far away from my thoughts. If a raven really was pecking at my head, I’m sure I would try harder to complete it lol Perhaps that’s what I should be asking for Christmas this year…

Glad that you had a go at this week’s challenge. Yes, I thought the photo of the cakes would draw you lol 🙂

Wishing you the Brightest Blessings coated in pixie dust for the rest of the week!

    • Hey Amaranto Es (unfading flower?)

Parapraxis. Excellent word thank you for that 🙂 Do you think so? What of magical-realism? Or taking small flight on the wings of a young lady’s dreams? Or better still, what of then awakening at an enchanted height with all tangles untangled and harmony surrounding one with peace and tranquillity? What is Fire if not an intense and impassioned fleeting petroleum madness to lift the flame higher 🙂

‘All near clobber for the gem set of drawers.’ For you or for me? My metaphysical Welsh mine beneath my hill is endless, it’s seams overflowing with dreams gleaming softly like Welsh diamonds. Everyone has their own mine. Just have to carry a lantern to always see the way ahead 🙂

‘Who captivates the mettle of me.’ Hmm. My Bright Star is Eternal. She guides me always. One man only has so much energy, sometimes he has to pause a while on the road and sit and gaze upon a far-away star 🙂

Thank you for your comment. God Bless. Namaste 🙂
