Or take one of the challenges below – there are no prizes – it’s not a competition but rather a fun writing exercise. Hi Sammi. I’ve just gone with the word prompt this time and a piece of flash fiction which is more than 50 words. Hope that’s OK.

Hey Sammi, Namaste 🙂
How are you? How’s the weekend gone so far? And the New Year has it met your expectations or surpassed them? 🙂
I’m at the tail-end of a cold and still a little shivery and tired. I’m not often ill despite not having the best life-style and working in a air-conditioned heated offices where there is always someone or another snuffling, sniffing or hacking away at their work-station. Thankfully I now work compressed hours so have three days each weekend to unwind and if need be recover from the trauma of a working week 🙂 Three days is awesome: it means I don’t have to leave any piece of work unfinished or thought lingering before heading back into work the following Monday. It also allows better opportunity to relax more and establish a better work-life balance. I have to work 9.5 hors a day which by Thursday is quite tiring, however the reward for having the additional day makes the effort all worthwhile.
You’ve set a hard challenge this week Sammi: asking that the poets amongst us not only marry desperate elements but do so restricted in word count and form. It’s a tricky ask but I will have a go before heading out for a Chinese takeaway 🙂
~ Misgivings ~ By ~ Dewin Nefol ~
Drip-feed my distrust fuel my mistrust
Enflame my deepest suspicion
My apprehension is not reservation
But trepidation unease, disquiet, dis-ease. You.
Whose hand is deep shadow: you are
Doubt and worry, my psychotic fantasy.

Enjoy Saturday night. I’m off to feast on Bang Bang Chicken and chips mmmm! 😀 Take care of one and all, stay cosy warm it’s another cold night.
Love and Peace. Namaste 🙂

P.S: Are you left handed? I’m just curious…the photo shows the shadow of a right hand suggesting the camera was held with the left? 🙂 Are you a leftie lol 😉

Hey Dewin! I hope you are well. I’m right-handed and really have no idea why I decided to take the photo with my left hand. Maybe it was just to confuse everyone, including myself, a few years after taking it lol 🙂
Brightest Blessings 🙂
