First, a quick apology for being such a terrible, absentee blog hostess. Life is just hectic at the moment. I’m hoping that things will start to calm down over the next week or two. Thanks for your patience, and happy writing! 🙂
A word and photo prompt to get your creativity flowing this weekend. Use the prompts separately or together. It’s up to you. Write a piece of flash fiction, a poem, a chapter for your novel…anything you like. Or take one of the challenges below – there are no prizes – it’s not a competition but rather a fun writing exercise. If you want to share what you come up with, please leave a link to it in the comments.

Happy Saturday SC, Namaste 🙂
Hoping all is okay: here’s my entry for today.
~ Afternoon Tea ~ By ~ Dewin Nefol ~
An allowance not spent on elevensies
Found me nestled in a cafe that day
The prices affordable, cheaper to pay
Each cup was a mug full to the brim
Rims overflowing with sweet leafy sin
Not your regular loose tea leaves
Or your regular tea bag
Ordinary cha was to bland
Normal chi was a drag
The tea I order most frequently
Every time I come in
A pot of good old Rosie-Lee blended with extra sin
~*~
Namaste 🙂

I like that concluding line ‘with extra sin’, most mysterious.

Namaste Michael 🙂
Rosie-Lee is a dark-leaf tea,
A dark-leaf tea with sin.
Full-bodied ample and apple-sweet
Her cup is a treat warm wet saccharine.
~*~
Namaste 🙂

This is strange. Last night I was trying to compose a poem using tea. (Twilight zone music)

My submission although I’ll tell you right now, 200 words is hardly enough to craft a credible mystery: https://poweredbyrobots.com/2018/02/03/telltale/
