Hey Sammi, Namaste 🙂
Welcome to Saturday and the weekend.
A refreshing Spring challenge this week I see, one enticing 10 lines of rhyme. From soggy grey overcast Wales here is my effort this week.
~ Spring ~ By ~ Dewin Nefol ~
~
When Winter is done and dusted,
When Spring is sprung and rustic,
When blossom is budding merrily:
Upon every branch and every tree.
Shall glorious Spring also flower me.
~
When pursed petal case is poised to spout,
When my Spring bloom is all but out,:
When nature explodes all about:
Upon every canvas with colours bold,
Shall glorious Spring spray my gold.
~
Have a happy weekend!
Namaste 🙂

I like this, has a feel of a poem from days gone by

Hey MNL, Namaste 🙂
An interesting observation, thank you. I must have been feeling very ‘days gone by’ at the time of writing: perhaps unconsciously so. 🙂
Have a wonderful weekend. Take care.
Namaste 🙂

Namaste Reena 🙂
Thank you for the link to your work – time may take away our years but life experience makes us far better flyers. Your words sound energised and you all ready to spring 🙂
Have a wonderful week. Take care.

There is another dimension to optimism and hope. It is the only option available.
Thank you so much, Dewin!

Beautiful poem, Dewin. It had a antiquated, archaic feel to it. So enjoyable to read 🙂

Hey Sammi, Namaste 🙂
How are you?
Thank you for enjoying the poem. I didn’t have intention of writing it with an old-fashioned tone, the poem just seemed to spring forth on the occasion of its writing. But I wonder if a sense of ‘antiquated and archaic’ is a result of my thoughts being largely in Merlin mode at this time whilst I’m writing The Great Fairy Fire on my blog and adding to what is already written for the second book of The Wizard of Wands. Perhaps my focus is firmly trapped in a very different age altogether: in another dimension far, far away and long, long ago where every day is once upon a time and begins a new fairy-tale 🙂
Hoping all is well. Enjoy your weekend.
Namaste 🙂

I really hang out for the buds in spring, the first sign of the blossoms that follow. Nature is so amazing as buds turn to blossom turn to bloom. The cycle is fixed, exquisite and true!
