Coffee Shop Poetry #1

…a different drink…a different place…but a beautiful view…

I sit sipping tea

In the coffee shop

That once was a garage

.

For Sammi, it’s too trendy

But for Ben

He loves the petrol pump

That sits idle outside

Yesterday afternoon was spent buying second-hand books and drinking many cups of tea in numerous tea shops.  A perfect day, especially when the person you’re sipping tea with – who is not often given to poetry – writes the above poem to capture the memory.
