Cauldron

I wait here

At this between-place

Neither one thing or the other

Water lapping land

Changing the boundary

With every tiny wave

That breaks upon the shore

It is a crossing place

From here to there

Sacred, special, liminal

A place to leave offerings

A place to make sacrifice

A place of transformation

Of creation…of destruction…
