She dreams in movement
Weaving her way through
Night’s enchantment
A mind that is still
With an eye that sees the dream
A body that dances to the tune
That only she can hear

Dear Sammi,
The last two lines are brilliant. Beautifully done.

You make ’em and break ’em. Rules that is. Good to listen to the muse always. It’s lovely.

Thank you for this poem! I love it – I often dream that I’m dancing so it seemed perfect to me.

A joy of how this character dreams of dancing. And I like how your poem raised the question for me if the character dances while awake, or if she’s too reserved/shy — so her dreams give her the chance to relax.
