The Cool Kids

triple crowned moon

Last week, the latest issue of Free Lit Magazine was released, the theme this time round being Truth or Dare.  And, I’m pleased to say, that my short story, The Cool Kids was included in it.

The Cool Kids

Kelly wants to join the most popular group of kids in school, only there’s a catch…an initiation.  Truth or dare?  But can it be that simple?

You can read the Truth or Dare issue via Free Lit Magazine’s website or via Issuu.  And, if you do check out The Cool Kids, please let me know what you think to it!

Wishing everyone a bright and blessed February!

Look what arrived in the post this morning…

My print copy of Kith Issue 1 from 308 Press!  Isn’t it pretty? 🙂

If you stop by here regularly, you might have come across my post Reading and Writing Letters, explaining a bit about the publication.  You can read an online version of the magazine for free, here.  If you do, and happen to read my own offering, A Letter From a Troubled Soul, I would be interested to hear what you think.kith issue 1 page

Have a good evening all, and enjoy the rest of your week!

Reading and Writing Letters…

I love letters.  There is something quite magical about receiving a handwritten letter in the post; an email isn’t the same, is it.  Equally, I love writing letters, only there doesn’t really seem to be the call for it these days.  Back in April, I came across, purely by chance, a new small press that was open to submissions of letters for either an anthology or themed magazine.  The letters could be about absolutely anything.  Of course, I thought I would try my hand at this…

The first issue of Kith magazine by 308 Press was released this week.  There are twenty or so letters, penned by writers from all over the world, including my own offering, A Letter From A Troubled Soul.  Each one is unique in voice and style, and I was amazed at the variety on offer.

So, if you are looking for something different to read, why not take a look.  It can be read for free here, or a print copy can be purchased here.  The print copies have a hand-painted front cover, each one slightly different to the rest – they look beautiful.

Enjoy, and have a great Midsummer weekend!
