The 12 Days of Winter Writing Challenge

In the spirit of winter goodness, and after the fun of September’s A Month of Mini Writing Challenges, I thought it might be an exciting idea to finish off the year with a smaller writing challenge.

However, these daily challenges are not going to be as strict. So, take the prompts and do what you will with them; write a poem, write a drabble, write a story in exactly 273 words each day, if you want.  The only rule, apart from whatever you write being inspired by the prompt, is that you MUST HAVE FUN!!!

The challenge will begin on the 13th December and finish on the 24th December.  The prompts will be posted daily on my Facebook page (see box on the left), rather than here on the blog.  I will post a links post every few days throughout the challenge on the blog, so don’t forget to leave me a link to find, on this page or any other related post 🙂

Here are the 12 writing prompts:

Day 113 December – Frost

Day 214 December – Darkness

Day 315 December – Evergreen

Day 416 December – Bells

Day 517 December – Stars

Day 618 December – Rebirth

Day 719 December – Candles

Day 820 December – Wreath

Day 921 December – Shortest Day and Longest Night

Day 1022 December – Fire

Day 1123 December – Snow

Day 1224 December – Mistletoe
